The Guestkeepers – Friends of the Visitors
Where every visitor becomes a friend
ABSM – Educational and Counseling Center has launched a new project in Kosovo:
The Guestkeepers – Friends of the Visitors.
At the heart of this project lies a simple yet transformative vision:
to turn traditional Albanian hospitality into a professional standard of cultural tourism.
The project aims to promote Kosovo’s cultural heritage by creating economic opportunities for young people and local businesses, while strengthening ties with the diaspora through sustainable and dignified tourism.
For centuries, Kosovo has been known for its exceptional hospitality. Yet, many visitors have missed the opportunity to discover its true cultural treasures. The documentary “The Guestkeepers” offers a behind-the-scenes look at a project that is changing this reality.
Follow the transformation of young people aged 18–30, who evolve from students into “Ambassadors of Hospitality,” trained in diplomatic protocol and cultural tourism. Discover how the “Kosova Inn” network certifies local guesthouses and artisans to guarantee authenticity and quality. And for the first time, see how technology—through the platform **www.theguestkeepers.com**—allows tourists to experience history before physically visiting it.
This is not just tourism.
It is diplomacy through culture.
